Full job descriptionThe Customer Service Officer (Reception based) will be the first point of contact, providing excellent front-of-house support in a Public Sector environment. This role requires strong organisational skills to manage reception duties effectively in London.

Description
*Serve as the primary contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a professional and welcoming reception area.
*Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them to the appropriate departments efficiently.
*Maintain accurate records of visitor logs and appointments.
*Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry and document preparation, as required.
*Coordinate meeting room bookings and ensure facilities are prepared for use.
*Provide general information and guidance to visitors regarding services.
*Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times.
*Support the wider Secretarial & Business Support team with ad hoc tasks when necessary.


Profile
A successful Customer Service Officer (Reception based) should have:
*Previous experience in a reception or customer service role, ideally within the public sector.
*Strong customer service skills with a professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive enquiries with tact and discretion.
*Experience engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including members of the public.
*The ability to assess customer needs, provide accurate information, and resolve queries effectively.
*A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.

Job Offer
*Competitive hourly pay between £15.96 and £17.73, depending on experience.
*Availability to work shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm.
