Salary: £65k - £75k p/annum plus benefits

We’re working with a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of advanced materials and chemical manufacturing, seeking a driven Operations Manager to lead site performance and deliver operational excellence.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality production. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, optimise processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and develop production, logistics, and operational teams
*Drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost control
*Ensure full compliance with HSE and regulatory standards
*Implement and embed continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma) methodologies
*Oversee production planning, resource allocation, and delivery performance
*Collaborate with technical, R&D, and commercial teams to support innovation and scale-up
*Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets
About You
*Qualified in a relevant degree
*Proven experience in an operations / production management role within manufacturing or process-led environments
*Strong leadership and team development skills
*Experience in chemical, materials, or advanced manufacturing environments
*Sound understanding of health & safety and regulatory compliance
*Track record of delivering continuous improvement and operational performance gains
