The Role
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to budget holders and leadership teams, providing expert financial insight, supporting planning and forecasting, and ensuring strong financial control across a range of service areas.
Key responsibilities include:
*Partnering with managers to deliver clear, practical financial advice
*Supporting budget setting, forecasting, and performance monitoring
*Analysing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
*Improving financial systems, processes, and reporting
*Supporting year-end processes and statutory reporting
*Monitoring funding streams and investigating variances
*Contributing to cash flow and treasury management oversight
*Building strong working relationships across the organisation
About You
*AAT qualified
*Strong experience in financial accounting, budgeting, and reporting
*Advanced Excel and financial systems skills
*Ability to influence and support non-finance stakeholders
*Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*A proactive, solution-focused approach
