Location: Home office base but commutable to their offices in the East Midlands
Salary: £40,000 plus car
Chemistry Laboratory Instrumentation organisation – electromechanical
Our client is recognised as global experts in their field and supportcustomers within a wide range of industries from pharma/drug discovery, chemicals, automotive, food, pharmacy and academia.
The Service Engineer is a key customer facing part of this approach. The role is field based but with ~1 day a week in the office. It requires good interpersonal skills; a flexible approach and strong electromechanical skills with lab instrumentation:
*installation and commissioning instrumentation at customer sites
*training end-users and support in system set-up and optimisation
*Preventative maintenance, calibration and routine service
*Technical support and troubleshooting
*compiling method statements and risk assessments
*Identify and pass on potential leads to the Sales team
About you:
*qualification and experience in maintenance, support and installing electro-mechanical based lab systems
*Ideally a knowledge of temperature control systems
*Good customer communication skills
*knowledge of PLC programming
*willingness to travel/overnight stays
