Full job descriptionReed Business Support are excited to be supporting a long-standing client in their search for Business Development Manager based in Newport. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-focused professional to play a key role in driving business growth, expanding market presence, and building lasting client relationships.
What you’ll be doing:
*Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and target markets
*Build, manage, and grow strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
*Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with company objectives
*Generate leads through networking, client meetings, and industry engagement
*Represent the business at events, trade shows, and conferences
*Collaborate with internal teams to align customer needs with business goals
*Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and monitor industry trends
*Track sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management
What you’ll need:
*Degree (or equivalent) in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field
*Proven experience in a senior business development or sales role
*Strong background in client relationship management
*Full driving licence and willingness to travel (including international travel at short notice)
*Strong commercial awareness with the ability to anticipate market trends
