Administrative Support Officer (Parks & Greenspaces)
Pay: £13.05 per hour
Working pattern: Part-time (3 days per week)
Location: Bromsgrove District Council & Redditch Borough Council - Hybrid working arrangement
About the Role
Opus People Solutions are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of Bromsgrove District Council & Redditch Borough Council for a Parks & Greenspaces Administrative Support Officer.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual to contribute to the effective delivery of vital community services. Supporting the Parks and Greenspaces team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of services that directly impact local residents and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
As part of this varied position, your duties will include:
*Acting as a first point of contact for residents, tenants, and stakeholders via email and telephone
*Maintaining accurate records, databases, and filing systems
*Supporting the coordination of meetings, including preparation of agendas and minute-taking
*Managing correspondence and responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner
*Liaising with internal colleagues, contractors, and site representatives
*Assisting with allotment administration, including tenancy records and waiting lists
*Providing general administrative and technical support to the wider team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
*Proven experience within an administrative or office-based role
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Confidence in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and database systems
*A professional, customer-focused approach, with attention to detail and accuracy
*The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
