Full job descriptionEmployee Relations Advisor – NHS
North West London (Hybrid – 3 days on site, non-negotiable)
£26 per hour PAYE
3 months initially (with potential to extend)
We are supporting an NHS organisation in North West London to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their HR team on an initial 3-month contract.
This is a hands-on role, managing a varied and often complex caseload, supporting managers across a wide range of employee relations matters.
Key Responsibilities:*Manage a personal caseload of complex ER cases, including:
*Disciplinary
*Grievance
*Absence management
*Capability
*Bullying & harassment
*Organisational change
*Provide proactive, practical HR advice to managers, ensuring alignment with Trust policies and employment law
*Deliver timely, outcome-focused solutions in partnership with stakeholders
*Support and advise on formal hearings, including disciplinary, grievance and capability panels
*Work closely with Occupational Health on sickness absence cases, including:
*Reasonable adjustments
*Redeployment options
*Ill health termination processes
Requirements:*Proven experience handling complex ER caseloads within an NHS or public sector environment
*Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice
*Confident advising managers and supporting formal hearings
*Ability to work at pace and manage competing priorities
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
This role requires an on-site presence of 3 days per week and is not negotiable.
