Full job descriptionIT Support Technician - StockportHands on IT Techician role with mentorship & TrainingLooking for a hands-on IT support role where no two days are the same?
We’re hiring an IT Support Technician to join a busy internal IT team, supporting day-to-day operations across a professional business environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid technical foundations who wants to expand their skills, gain exposure to wider infrastructure, and be part of a supportive team.
What you’ll be doing:*Delivering first-line and second-line support via phone, email, and in person
*Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
*Managing user accounts, passwords, and permissions
*Supporting Windows environments, Office 365, and Active Directory
*Maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and AV equipment
*Assisting with system monitoring, backups, and security checks
*Supporting new user onboarding, setup, and training
*Working with third-party suppliers and internal departments on escalated issues
*Keeping IT asset registers and technical documentation up to date
What we’re looking for:*Experience in IT support or service desk environments
*Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, and Office 365
*Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
*A proactive attitude and genuine passion for technology
