Full job descriptionTradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a Design & Technology Teacher to join a successful secondary school in St Helens from September until Christmas 2026.
The school has a strong reputation for promoting creativity, innovation and practical learning. Staff work collaboratively to ensure students develop confidence, resilience and the technical skills required for future education and employment. The Design & Technology department is well-resourced and plays an important role within the wider curriculum.
The successful candidate will specialise in Resistant Materials and Product Design, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful applicant will:
*Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Have experience teaching Design & Technology
*Specialise in Resistant Materials and Product Design
*Be confident delivering practical lessons safely and effectively
*Be committed to high-quality teaching and learning
The role offers:
*September 2026 start
*Fixed-term until Christmas 2026
*Pay between £168.80 and £232.56 per day, depending on experience and scale point
*Supportive department and leadership team
