Are you an experienced children’s residential care leader looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable young people?
We are supporting the appointment of an experienced Operations Manager to oversee a group of specialist children’s residential services across the region. This is a senior operational leadership role, responsible for ensuring outstanding standards of care, compliance, and positive outcomes for children and young people.
You will lead and support a team of Registered Managers, oversee day-to-day operations across multiple services, and play a key role in driving quality improvement and operational excellence.
About the role:
As Operations Manager, you will:
• Provide operational leadership across multiple children’s residential homes
• Support, coach and develop Registered Managers and care teams
• Ensure services meet Ofsted regulations, safeguarding requirements and quality standards
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of care
• Oversee audits, compliance, risk management and service improvement plans
• Manage budgets, resources and operational performance
• Build strong relationships with social workers, local authorities, families and external partners
• Act as a key leader in ensuring children receive safe, nurturing and effective care
About you:
You will have:
• Significant experience within children’s residential care
• Experience managing multiple services or a large residential care operation
• A strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks, Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding
• Experience leading and developing Registered Managers and care teams
• A proven track record of improving quality and outcomes within care services
• Experience managing budgets, performance and operational delivery
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent)
• A passion for improving the lives of children and young people with complex needs
