An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Credit Controller to join a busy finance operations team within a professional services environment.
This is a key role in supporting cash flow performance by improving collections, managing outstanding balances, and assisting with billing activities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, can confidently handle a varied workload, and takes a proactive approach to problem-solving.
What’s Involved
*Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices
*Support billing processes including invoice review, adjustments, and system entries
*Handle credit notes, write-offs, and account amendments when required
*Actively follow up overdue balances, primarily via telephone, and resolve payment queries
*Work collaboratively with internal teams to address issues impacting billing and payments
*Maintain accurate records of account activity and communications
*Assist with financial period-end tasks, ensuring deadlines are achieved
*Respond to queries from both clients and colleagues in a timely manner
*Contribute to team targets and support wider finance objectives
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience in credit control, managing a busy and high-value ledger
*Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
*Excellent communication skills, with confidence in negotiation and relationship management
*A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
*Experience working within a fast-paced finance environment
*Proficiency in Excel and finance systems
*A proactive, results-focused mindset
