*Process supplier invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the system.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
*Prepare and process payment runs in a timely and efficient manner.
*Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.
*Assist in month-end processes, including ledger reconciliations.
*Communicate effectively with suppliers to address queries or issues.
*Support the wider accounting team with ad hoc administrative tasks.
*Contribute to process improvements within the purchase ledger function.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
*Previous experience in a similar role within the accounting and finance department.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial information.
*Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
*Good understanding of purchase ledger processes and procedures.
*Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
