Full job descriptionEthos Talent is delighted to be partnering with an established business based in Kettering to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to broaden their management accounting experience and gain exposure to a varied role within a supportive finance team. Working closely with senior finance leaders, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial information and supporting business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and forecasts
*Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
*Support year-end audit processes and statutory reporting requirements
*Prepare VAT returns and ensure financial records remain accurate and compliant
*Assist with stock reporting, reconciliations and fixed asset accounting
*Produce financial analysis and management information for stakeholders
*Support payroll, expenses and wider month-end finance activities
*Help identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting
About You
*Previous experience supporting the production of management accounts
*Ideally AAT qualified, studying towards a professional qualification either ACCA/CIMA (candidates who are at latter stages of AAT will also be considered)
*Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
*Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
*Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
