Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking dedicated and adaptable Tutors to work with Alternative Provisions across the Chesterfield area on a flexible supply basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced educators, tutors, teaching assistants, or individuals with a background in supporting young people with additional needs who are looking for flexible work that fits around their schedule.
The successful candidate will provide tailored academic and pastoral support to students who may be working outside of mainstream education due to a range of social, emotional, behavioural, or educational needs. Sessions may take place in alternative provision settings, community venues, or other agreed locations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging and personalised tuition sessions to students across a range of subjects.
*Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
*Build positive and supportive relationships with learners.
*Monitor and record student progress.
*Promote confidence, engagement, and positive outcomes.
Requirements:
*Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational, mentoring, coaching, or support capacity.
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
*Ability to work independently and adapt to different learning environments.
*A patient, resilient, and flexible approach.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
*Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential, as travel across the Chesterfield area will be required.
