CRA Consulting is working in partnership with a well-regarded Local Authority to recruit an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join its established Legal Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with substantial experience in public childcare law to join a supportive and collaborative team handling a varied and complex caseload.
The RoleYou will manage your own caseload of public and private childcare matters, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to the Council. The role offers exposure to complex and challenging work, including:
*Care proceedings and public childcare matters
*Advocacy in Family Proceedings Courts, Magistrates’ Courts and County Courts
*Advising Social Workers, Managers and Senior Stakeholders
*Drafting legal documentation and court applications
*Judicial Review matters where required
*Instructing and working alongside Counsel
*Supporting and mentoring junior legal colleagues
About YouTo be considered, you will:
*Be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive
*Have substantial experience in childcare law
*Possess strong advocacy skills and court experience
*Be confident managing a busy caseload independently
*Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*Local Government experience is desirable but not essential
Membership of the Law Society Children’s Panel would be advantageous.
