Full job descriptionParalegal - Private Client DepartmentFull-Time Position We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Paralegal to join our Private Client Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop a long-term career in private client law and work closely with experienced practitioners in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will assist the Head of Department with the administration of trusts and provide support to a returning solicitor across all aspects of private client work. We are particularly interested in candidates who are keen to progress their career and ultimately qualify as a solicitor specialising in private client law.
Key Responsibilities *Assisting with the administration and management of trusts.
*Supporting fee earners in all areas of private client work, including:
*Wills
*Lasting Powers of Attorney
*Probate and estate administration
*Trusts and tax planning
*Court of Protection matters
*Drafting correspondence and legal documents.
*Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and third parties.
*Preparing files and documentation for meetings and transactions.
*Maintaining accurate records and case management systems.
*Undertaking legal research as required.
*Providing administrative support to the department to ensure the efficient progression of matters.
Candidate Requirements *Previous experience in a legal support or paralegal role is desirable, ideally within a private client department.
*A genuine interest in private client law and a desire to build a career in this area.
*Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
*Good communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
*Professional and client-focused approach.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
