The Opportunity -
An exciting opportunity has arisen for talented and committed teachers to join a new independent preparatory school opening September 2026 in Essex. The school will provide a high-quality, academically ambitious education for children aged 3-7, with a strong emphasis on language development, character education, and a broad, knowledge-rich curriculum.
This role offers the chance to be part of a founding teaching team, contributing to the development of the school’s ethos, curriculum, and classroom culture from the outset.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the Early Years Foundation Stage and/or Key Stage 1
*Create a calm, positive and purposeful classroom environment
*Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development
*Foster independence, curiosity, and confidence in young learners
*Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality of provision
*Maintain high standards of professionalism and safeguarding
Candidate Profile -
We are looking for individuals who:
*Hold QTS or EYTS (essential)
*Have experience teaching within EYFS and/or KS1 settings
*Demonstrate strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching practice
*Are reflective, motivated, and committed to delivering high standards
*Are enthusiastic about contributing to a growing school community
*Bring a positive, professional, and nurturing approach to teaching
*Specialisms in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, PE, Art, or Languages are welcomed but not essential.
Desirable:
*Experience within the independent sector
*Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. Master’s degree)
