Full job descriptionAn established and growing business within the wider construction sector is seeking an experienced qualified Management Accountant to join the finance team on an initial 6-month contract .
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is able to quickly take ownership of core financial processes, allowing senior stakeholders to focus on wider strategic priorities.


The role:

Reporting into senior finance leadership, responsibilities are likely to include:
*Preparing and maintaining short and medium-term cash flow forecasts
*Reviewing and supporting the submission of VAT returns
*Reviewing CIS returns and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
*Assisting with the production of monthly management information
*Supporting month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations
*Identifying opportunities to improve existing financial processes and controls
*Providing ad hoc financial analysis and support across the wider finance function


About you:

*Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
*Previous experience operating at Management Accountant level within a busy finance environment
*Comfortable working independently and able to hit the ground running
*Strong attention to detail with a proactive, hands-on approach
*Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
*Experience within construction, housebuilding or a project-based environment would be highly advantageous, although this is not essential
