Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a market-leading business in Harrogate.
Working as part of a growing finance team, you will support the Management Accountant and Finance Director in the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is actively studying towards a professional qualification and looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and expanding organisation.
The RoleAs Assistant Management Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the monthly accounting cycle and ensuring accurate financial reporting across a portfolio of managed properties and clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Producing monthly financial packs for clients and property managers.
*Preparing and posting monthly accruals and prepayments.
*Completing balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
*Maintaining control schedules and ensuring adherence to finance deadlines.
*Managing and reviewing sales and purchase invoicing processes.
*Assisting with accounts payable activities and internal audit requirements.
*Supporting the preparation and delivery of annual budgets.
*Acting as an internal point of contact for accounting queries.
*Assisting with statutory audits for both the company and its clients.
*Building strong working relationships with operational and support departments across the business
*A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within an accounts or finance position.
*Active studies towards ACCA, CIMA, AAT Level 4, or an equivalent qualification.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
*Good organisational and time management skills.
*Advanced spreadsheet skills and confidence working with financial data.
