A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a well-established accountancy practice in Leigh-on-Sea. This role is ideal for someone confident managing year-end work independently and supporting a varied client portfolio.
About the RoleYou will take ownership of key accounting responsibilities, working closely with the Practice Partner and supporting a wide range of clients. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent accuracy, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities*Prepare year-end accounts without supervision
*Complete tax computations and support tax compliance
*Prepare P11Ds
*Manage and review nominal ledger accounts
*Work across multiple accounting software packages (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
*Support the Practice Partner with client queries, reporting, and technical issues
About YouYou’ll bring strong technical accounting knowledge and confidence working within a busy practice environment.
You must have:
*Extensive experience managing nominal ledger accounts
*Strong practice background (minimum 3+ years preferred)
*Comprehensive knowledge of Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and other accounting systems
*Solid understanding of year-end processes and tax compliance
You may be:
*QBE, part-qualified, or fully qualified
