An exceptional opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional to join one of the UK’s most respected independent caterers and take the next step towards General Manager level.
Houston & Hawkes are looking for a talented Deputy General Manager to support the leadership of a prestigious Central London operation, combining premium hospitality, retail and outstanding customer service. This is a role for someone who enjoys leading from the front, developing people and creating an environment where both customers and colleagues thrive.
For the right person, this is more than a Deputy General Manager position. It is an opportunity to develop within an award-winning business that genuinely invests in its people and provides a clear pathway towards a future General Manager role.
THE ROLE
• Supporting the day-to-day management of retail and hospitality operations
• Leading, motivating and developing a friendly and dedicated team
• Driving exceptional customer service and guest experience standards
• Supporting administration, reporting and invoice processing
• Assisting with stock control, ordering and operational procedures
• Maintaining the highest standards of presentation, food safety and compliance
• Providing management cover and operational leadership when required
• Working closely with the General Manager to support business performance and team development
ABOUT YOU
• Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality, catering, retail or a similar environment
• A confident and positive leader who enjoys developing people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities
• Strong administration and computer skills
• Professional, approachable and customer focused
• Ambitious, motivated and eager to progress your career
• Passionate about delivering exceptional service and standards
