Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe’re working with schools across Sunderland who are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams.These schools support pupils with a range of additional needs and provide nurturing environments where children are encouraged to thrive.
What you’ll be doing• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting pupils with SEND needs
• Working alongside teachers and SENDCOs
• Encouraging engagement and participation
• Supporting social, emotional and academic development
• Monitoring and recording progress
What we’re looking for• Experience supporting children with SEND
• A patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication skills
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
• Willingness to travel across Sunderland and surrounding areas
• Driving beneficial but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
