About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and customer - focused Housing Officer for a temporary contract with our client in West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing a diverse housing portfolio and delivering high - quality services to our residents.
As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for managing tenancies, supporting residents, addressing housing - related issues, and ensuring our communities remain safe, sustainable, and well - maintained. You will work closely with residents, contractors, partner agencies, and internal teams to provide excellent housing management services.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage a designated patch of properties and act as the main point of contact for residents.
*Conduct tenancy sign - ups, tenancy reviews, and property inspections.
*Investigate and resolve anti - social behaviour, neighbour disputes, and tenancy breaches.
*Support residents to sustain their tenancies and access relevant support services.
*Manage rent arrears and work with residents to maximise income and prevent tenancy failure.
*Respond effectively to complaints, enquiries, and service requests.
*Work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
*Ensure compliance with housing legislation, policies, and procedures.
*Maintain accurate records and case management systems.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
*Experience in housing management, tenancy management, or a related field.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Strong problem - solving and conflict resolution abilities.
*Knowledge of housing legislation and best practice.
*The ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise competing demands.
*A customer - focused approach with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and housing management systems.
*A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
