Location: Didcot
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the operational functions of a growing UK business. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive operational efficiency, implement scalable processes, manage administrative teams, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
*Build, document, and improve operational processes to support growth and scalability.
*Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements and automation solutions.
*Support budgeting, financial reporting, and operational planning.
*Coordinate activities between UK-based teams and international stakeholders.
*Manage contracts and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
*Oversee procurement, inventory management, shipping, and receiving activities.
*Manage facilities and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
*Lead UK-based administrative staff and oversee day-to-day administrative functions.
*Support employee onboarding, orientation, and HR-related activities.
Requirements
*8+ years’ experience in operations, management, or project management roles.
*Proven experience building and improving operational systems and processes.
*Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
*Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
*Knowledge of contract management and regulatory requirements; export control experience is advantageous.
*Experience with government-funded projects or contracts (e.g. Innovate UK) is desirable.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management systems.
*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
