Full job descriptionOur client is a highly reputable, close-knit accountancy firm that has been delivering specialist services to clients across Suffolk for over 25 years. Despite their boutique size, they have built an outstanding reputation for quality and client care.
Due to continued growth and a steadily expanding client base, Reed Practice has been exclusively engaged to recruit an Accountant to join their friendly, talented, and genuinely supportive team.
The Opportunity
This role offers real flexibility and can be tailored to your level of experience:
*Still studying? Full study support is available, along with structured development.
*Fully qualified? You’ll have the opportunity to add genuine value, build client relationships, and play an active role in the firm’s continued success.
There is clear progression on offer:
*Managing your own client portfolio, working closely with the Partner and further enhance your leadership and advisory skills
Key Responsibilities
*Managing your own portfolio
*Preparing limited company accounts (CCH) from planning through to completion
*Producing corporation tax computations and CT600s
*Preparing sole trader and partnership accounts
*Completing self-assessment and partnership tax returns
*Preparing management accounts
*Completing and filing VAT returns, liaising with HMRC as required
*Attending client meetings where appropriate
About You
*AAT / ACCA qualified, or if studying, in final stages
*Experience within an accountancy practice, working to UK regulations
*Strong working knowledge of Xero (highly desirable)
*Comfortable using a range of accounting software
*Knowledge of payroll would be beneficial but not essential
