About the RoleWe are recruiting on behalf of our major Financial Services client for an experienced Workday Systems Lead to support the ongoing enhancement, optimisation, and delivery of Workday HCM initiatives.
This role will play a key part in driving Workday system improvements, supporting HR technology transformation, and ensuring the successful implementation of system changes across a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will work closely with HR, Technology, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality Workday solutions and improvements across the employee lifecycle.
Essential Requirements Proven experience leading and delivering Workday system change initiatives
Strong hands-on Workday HCM configuration experience
Previous experience working within large Financial Services organisations
Experience supporting HR technology transformation and change programmes
Candidates who do not possess both Workday System Change experience and large Financial Services sector experience are unlikely to be considered for this opportunity.
Key ResponsibilitiesWorkday Platform Management*Lead the delivery and implementation of Workday system changes, enhancements, and improvements.
*Configure and optimise Workday HCM functionality to meet business requirements.
*Support Workday releases, upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.
*Ensure system configurations align with business objectives and operational processes.
HR Technology & Change Delivery*Partner with HR and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
*Translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
*Support ongoing HR transformation initiatives and technology roadmap activities.
*Drive adoption and utilisation of Workday functionality across the organisation.
Stakeholder Management*Act as a trusted Workday subject matter expert for key stakeholders.
*Collaborate with HR, Technology, Change, and Operations teams to deliver successful outcomes.
*Provide guidance and recommendations on Workday best practices and future enhancements.
*Manage stakeholder expectations and support decision-making through effective communication.
Testing, Training & Adoption*Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
*Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions where required.
*Support change implementation and ensure a smooth transition to new processes and functionality.
*Develop supporting documentation and user guidance materials.
Governance & Risk*Maintain appropriate controls, governance processes, and documentation.
*Identify and mitigate risks associated with Workday system changes.
*Support audit and compliance requirements.
*Ensure changes are delivered in line with organisational standards and policies.
