We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at a specialist primary SEN school in Bury from September 2026.

The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, sensory needs, and learning disabilities. You will help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities*Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
*Assist with the delivery of engaging and differentiated learning activities.
*Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
*Support pupils with communication, social interaction, and personal development.
*Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
*Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents, and external agencies.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have*Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or primary school setting.
*A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
*Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.
