We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 HGV Shunter to join a well-established and growing operation based in Wakefield.
This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for a site-based role with no road work involved, offering excellent work-life balance on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
The Role*Shunting trailers around a busy distribution site
*Moving vehicles safely between loading bays and designated areas
*Conducting vehicle checks and reporting any defects
*Working closely with warehouse and transport teams
*Ensuring all site safety procedures are followed
Requirements*Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
*Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
*Previous shunting experience preferred, but not essential
*Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
*Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
What We Offer*Competitive pay rate of £15.00 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
*Full-time hours on a consistent 4 on, 4 off rota
*No road driving – entirely site-based work
