Location: L25, Liverpool
Salary: £95–£100 per day
Contract: Full-time, with permanent opportunities available
Start Date: September 2026
Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated and experienced SEMH Learning Support Assistants to work within an all-boys secondary SEMH provision in the L25 area of Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs in a structured and supportive educational environment.
The Role
The successful candidates will support students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside of the classroom. The role requires a consistent, calm and proactive approach to behaviour management, alongside the ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils.
Key responsibilities include:
*Supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs
*Acting as a positive role model
*Assisting teaching staff in delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour
*Promoting a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
*Supporting the development of students’ social skills and emotional regulation
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should:
*Have prior experience working with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
*Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
*Be resilient, patient and adaptable
*Be able to build and maintain professional relationships with students and staff
*Be committed to supporting the educational and personal development of young people

Recruitment Process
Interviews and trial days will take place over the coming weeks before the end of the current term. Successful candidates will commence their roles in September 2026.
