*Annual Salary: £40k - £42k per annum
*Location: West London/Berkshire
*Job Type: Onsite, Permanent
Join our dynamic purchasing team, where you will play a crucial role in managing product supplies for the Construction and Utility sectors. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in supplier interactions and supports a fast-paced sales team to ensure goods are supplied at competitive prices and minimal lead times.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Monitor and maintain stock levels using our ERP system.
*Raise purchase orders to replenish stocks and monitor overdue purchase orders.
*Negotiate pricing terms with suppliers and manage purchase rebates.
*Seek out new suppliers and build strong, productive relationships.
*Support the sales and operations teams by ensuring smooth supply chain management.
*Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
*Regularly meet with supplier representatives to ensure alignment and address any issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience in a commercial and technical environment.
*Proficiency in raising orders and negotiating prices with suppliers.
*Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
*Excellent problem-solving skills and a conscientious, reliable approach.
*Team player with efficient, diplomatic, and self-motivated characteristics.
*Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and achieving results right the first time.
*Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
