Full job descriptionReed Business Support are working in partnership with a premium, design-led home and lifestyle brand to recruit an experienced Store Manager for their Ashford Designer Outlet location. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong heritage, recognised for quality, craftsmanship and innovation.
The RoleAs Store Manager, you will take full ownership of the store’s performance, leading your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while achieving sales and profitability targets. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong commercial awareness, operational excellence and a passion for retail.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial & Operational Performance
*Manage stock control, deliveries and pricing
*Monitor and report on stock markdowns
*Oversee cash handling and ensure adherence to company policies
*Control costs and overheads to maximise profitability
Customer Experience & Visual Merchandising
*Plan and implement effective merchandising to enhance sales and brand image
*Lead exceptional customer service standards across the team
*Drive sales performance and customer satisfaction
People Management
*Lead, motivate and develop a team of Sales Advisors
*Manage recruitment, training and performance reviews
*Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR procedures
Administration & Compliance
*Complete all reporting and paperwork accurately and on time
*Maintain store standards, fixtures and equipment
About You*Proven experience (2+ years) in a Store Manager or Supervisor role within a retail environment (Outlet or standalone preferred)
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
*Commercially aware with a proactive, hands-on approach
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
*Confident communicator with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
*Flexible and able to perform under pressure
