Overview
We are currently recruiting for a part-time Accounts Assistant to support a busy NHS triage service with a large patient database. This is a temporary ongoing position, ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and previous experience in a fast-paced finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Supporting day-to-day finance operations within the organisation
*Processing purchase orders and maintaining accurate records
*Recording sales transactions and updating financial systems
*Carrying out account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
*Chasing outstanding payments in a professional and timely manner
*Managing a shared NHS email inbox, responding to queries and patient-related financial requests
*Matching invoices and resolving any discrepancies
*Assisting with general finance administration as required
Skills & Experience Required
*AAT Level 2 qualification (essential)
*Previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role
*Working knowledge of Xero accounting software
*Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
*Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
*Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
*Experience working within healthcare or NHS settings (desirable but not essential)
