Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are seeking a proactive and technically strong EQD Application Support Engineer to support applications within an Equities Derivatives trading environment. The role focuses on maintaining system stability, resolving production issues, and supporting business-critical trading platforms.
What you’ll do:
*Provide L2/L3 application support within an EQD trading environment
*Investigate and resolve production incidents (P1/P2) impacting trading systems
*Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventative improvements
*Monitor systems proactively and address issues before business impact
*Work closely with traders, developers, and infrastructure teams
*Support releases, deployments, and BAU activities
What you’ll bring:
*Strong Linux/Unix command line skills (processes, logs, troubleshooting)
*Hands-on scripting experience (Python and/or Bash)
*Strong SQL skills (querying, data analysis, troubleshooting)
*Proven experience in application / production support
*Knowledge of Equities / Equities Derivatives (EQD) products
*Experience in trading systems or front-office environments
*Familiarity with monitoring tools (Geneos, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.)
