Full job descriptionWe are working with an industrial manufacturer based in Huntingdon who are looking for a Managing Director. This is a full-time, office based, permanent position.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Defining and executing the company’s long-term strategy
*Identify new market opportunities within the sector
*Managing a small and diverse team
*Lead business planning, setting targets and conducting performance reviews
*Supporting sales, marketing, and engineering teams
*Acting as a technical lead for product design
*Ensuring solutions meet customer specifications and industry standards
*Acting as a technical escalation point for customer requirements and bespoke projects
*Monitoring market trends and competitor activity
*Ensuring health and safety policies and procedures are upheld across the business
The successful candidate will have:
*Experience in a senior leadership or MD role within a technical B2B environment
*Technical background from working within a small to medium OEM
*Experience managing P&L and business performance metrics
*Ability to operate in a small business environment with ability to balance strategic and operational demands
*Excellent interpersonal skills
*Degree or qualification in engineering, preferably in Electronics or a related discipline
