Duration: Minimum 2 weeks
Pay Rate: £20.51 per hour
Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Lifting Operations Supervisor for a temporary assignment based in Leiston, Suffolk. This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for overseeing all lifting activities, ensuring operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations and site procedures.
Key Responsibilities
*Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on site
*Ensure compliance with LOLER regulations and company safety standards
*Review and implement lifting plans and risk assessments
*Brief lifting teams and conduct toolbox talks
*Monitor lifting activities to ensure safe execution
*Liaise with site management, crane operators, and slingers/signallers
*Identify and mitigate potential hazards
*Maintain accurate records and reports of lifting operations
*Ensure all equipment is used correctly and inspected as required
Requirements
*Proven experience as a Lifting Operations Supervisor
*Relevant certification (e.g. CPCS Appointed Person / Lift Supervisor or equivalent)
*Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations, particularly LOLER
*Ability to read and interpret lifting plans
*Excellent communication and leadership skills
*High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
*CSCS card (essential)
