Experienced Child Care Solicitor Opportunity in Bromsgrove
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Child Care Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded Family and Care Law team based in Bromsgrove. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of public and private children law matters within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Our client is seeking a dedicated Solicitor with significant experience in children’s law who is passionate about delivering exceptional client care and achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
The Role
As a Child Care Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload of public and private children law matters, including complex care proceedings, while working closely with clients and colleagues within the department.
This is a highly client-facing position requiring strong advocacy skills, excellent legal knowledge and the ability to provide sensitive and practical advice to clients during challenging circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing a varied caseload of public and private children law matters
*Conducting complex care proceedings from instruction through to conclusion
*Representing clients in court and undertaking a high level of advocacy
*Providing clear, practical and empathetic legal advice to clients
*Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering excellent client care
*Preparing legal documentation, statements, applications and court bundles
*Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements, SRA regulations and internal procedures
*Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for clients
*Meeting court deadlines and effectively prioritising a busy caseload
Candidate Requirements
You will:
*Be a qualified Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE
*Have substantial experience in both public and private children law proceedings
*Demonstrate proven experience handling complex care cases
*Possess strong advocacy skills and be confident representing clients in court
*Ideally hold the Law Society Children Law Accreditation
*Ideally meet Legal Aid Agency Supervisor Status requirements or be actively working towards achieving them
*Be highly organised with excellent case management skills
*Have outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
*Be client-focused with a professional, approachable and reassuring manner
*Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
*Be comfortable working within compliance frameworks, policies and case management systems
