Maximum rate - £550-£575 Inside IR357
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Content Designer to join a growing government cyber unit partnership team. You will take ownership of content design across digital services, ensuring content is clear, user-centred, and aligned to user needs. This is a fast paced role requiring autonomy, strong judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities at scale.
Key Responsibilities
*Design and deliver user-centred content across digital services and platforms
*Create a wide range of content including guidance, service content, case studies, blogs and policy content
*Ensure content decisions are driven by user needs, insights and end-to-end journeys
*Manage and prioritise a high volume of content requests effectively
*Use CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Whitehall) to publish and maintain content
*Apply Agile ways of working to manage delivery and workload
*Work independently to deliver high-quality outputs with minimal direction
*Support and mentor other content designers within the team where needed


Essential Experience
*Strong experience in content design within digital services
*Proven experience working in central government or public sector environments
*Strong understanding of user-centred design and content strategy
*Experience delivering a variety of content types across service and policy contexts
*Hands-on experience using CMS platforms
*Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
*Confident working independently with strong decision-making skills
Desirable
*Experience within cyber security or digital technology programmes
*Experience with WordPress or Whitehall publishing platforms
*Exposure to both public and private sector environments
*Relevant qualifications in content design, UX or communications
