Location: Newcastle (Hybrid)
A well-established, modern, independent financial planning firm is looking to add a Financial Planner to its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a genuinely client-focused business that prioritises long-term relationships, high-quality advice, and the highest professional standards.
The firm advises a broad and diverse client base and continues to grow year on year. It has also built a strong reputation for developing its people and supporting long-term career progression.
The Role
Due to the redistribution of clients within the business, the firm is looking to appoint a Financial Planner to take over an existing client bank. This portfolio includes clients with a wide range of financial planning needs across pensions, investments, tax, and protection.
The role offers strong training and development opportunities. Client meetings are primarily conducted virtually, with some in-person meetings required for clients visiting the office.
This position would suit an individual who holds the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, has experience within an IFA or financial planning firm, and is now looking to transition into an advice-focused role. Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide holistic financial planning and regulated advice across a wide range of case types
*Conduct detailed fact-finding, cashflow modelling, and suitability assessments
*Create and deliver tailored financial plans aligned to clients’ objectives and risk profiles
*Build and maintain long-term client relationships through regular reviews and proactive communication
*Work closely with paraplanners to produce accurate research and suitability reports
Candidate Profile
*Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
*Previous experience within a financial planning or IFA firm
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*A genuine interest in developing long-term client relationships
*Collaborative, ethical, and client-focused approach
