CNC Machinist - Semi-Skilled / Skilled
Location: Corby
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Hours 8 am – 5 pm (Monday – Thursday), 8 am – 1 pm (Friday)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (circa £27k + attendance bonus)


Our client is looking for a reliable and motivated Semi-Skilled / Skilled CNC Machinist to join their growing production team.
The Role
Working within our machine shop, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components. The successful candidate will have experience working with HAAS CNC mills and lathes and a good understanding of machining practices within a manufacturing environment.
Candidates who can independently set up and prove out jobs will be at a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
*Operate HAAS CNC milling and turning machines safely and efficiently.
*Manufacture components to engineering drawings and specifications.
*Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance.
*Inspect components to ensure quality standards are maintained.
*Monitor production output and identify any quality or process issues.
*Maintain a clean and organised working area.
*Work closely with colleagues and the team leader to meet production targets.
*Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
*Assist with machine set-ups and tooling changes where required.
The ideal candidate will have:
*3 years’ experience within a machine shop or CNC manufacturing environment.
*Experience operating HAAS CNC mills and/or lathes.
*Good understanding of machining tolerances and quality requirements.
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
*A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
*Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
*Strong time management and organisational skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
*Ability to set up and prove out jobs independently.
*Experience selecting tooling and adjusting offsets.
*Knowledge of editing CNC programs.
*Experience working in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
