The Firm:
My client is a leading accountancy and advisory firm, with a strong reputation in the private client space. The firm advises an impressive portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners, partnerships and trusts across the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth within the Private Client team, an opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Personal Tax Senior to join a highly regarded and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a clear route towards Assistant Manager level within a highly reputable private client team.
The Opportunity:
This role is ideally suited to an individual currently working within a respected practice environment who is looking to broaden their technical exposure and take greater ownership of a diverse private client portfolio. Working closely with experienced Managers and Partners, you will:
*Begin taking ownership of your own portfolio of private clients with support from senior leadership
*Develop trusted, long-term relationships with clients and their advisers
*Support the delivery of revenue and profitability targets across the team
*Gain exposure to a broad range of private client tax matters, including some partnership-related work
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage a varied portfolio of private clients
*Act as a key day-to-day contact for clients, building strong and proactive relationships
*Prepare and review complex self-assessment tax returns and associated tax computations
*Support with partnership tax matters and partnership returns where applicable
*Advise clients on compliance obligations, legislative developments and planning opportunities
*Work closely with clients to understand changes in their personal and business affairs and assess the tax implications
*Ensure all work is delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with internal risk and compliance procedures
*Support Partners and Managers on ad hoc advisory projects as the portfolio develops
About You:
*ATT qualified (or equivalent) and actively studying towards CTA/CTA qual
*Current experience within a UK accountancy practice environment is essential
*Strong background in Private Client/Personal Tax compliance
*Exposure to partnership tax work would be advantageous
*Experience managing relationships with HNW individuals, business owners and entrepreneurial clients
*Technically strong with excellent attention to detail
*Commercially aware with a client-focused approach
*Motivated to progress your career within a leading private client team
