We’re seeking either a mechanically or electrically biased Shift Engineer to become part of a highly skilled on-site team. Working a continental shift pattern, you’ll enjoy a great work-life balance while maintaining a varied and technically challenging role within a modern, high-profile building.
The Role As a Shift Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a critical commercial environment, ensuring all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
*Planned and reactive maintenance across building services systems
*Electrical or mechanical fault finding and repairs
*AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated plant
*UPS systems and emergency lighting
*BMS monitoring and operation
*Fire alarms and sprinkler systems
*HVAC equipment maintenance
*Permit-to-work management
*Health & Safety compliance
*Site logbooks and compliance documentation
Requirements
*City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
*Experience within commercial building maintenance
*Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
*Professional and customer-focused approach
*HVAP qualification is beneficial but not essential
Package
*£50,000 – £55,000 salary
