Job Description:
Full job descriptionResponsibilities
*Taking ownership of the full delivery cycle for weekly and monthly payrolls across multiple entities, while stepping in as needed to support team operations.
*Ensuring payroll compliance with statutory requirements, managing reporting obligations, and driving ongoing process improvements.
*Reviewing and validating FPS submissions, ensuring accurate reconciliation with HMRC records.
*Applying expertise in IR35 regulations, including carrying out status assessments and determinations.
*Managing and mentoring a team of Payroll Seniors and Advisors, promoting a high-performing and collaborative environment.
Experience and Qualifications
*Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple payrolls within complex, multi-entity organisations.
*At least five years’ experience leading and managing payroll teams.
*Strong leadership capability with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and team development.
*Proficient in working with a range of payroll systems; experience with IRIS Cascade is highly advantageous.
*Hands-on involvement in organisational changes, including acquisitions and TUPE transfers.
*Meticulous and detail-oriented approach to auditing payroll calculations and processes.
*Exposure to HRIS system implementations and upgrades is beneficial.
*Holds a minimum CIPP Level 4 qualification (or an equivalent credential).
