The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plumbing & Heating Engineering Lecturer to join a well-established Further Education provider.
This role would suit either an experienced lecturer or an industry professional looking to move into education. You’ll deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across Plumbing & Heating programmes, helping learners develop the technical skills, knowledge and confidence required to succeed within the industry.
Working across full-time study programmes and apprenticeships, you’ll combine practical workshop delivery with classroom-based learning, ensuring learners are equipped with current industry standards and best practice.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver engaging practical and theoretical Plumbing & Heating lessons
*Teach and assess learners across full-time and apprenticeship programmes
*Support students to develop industry-standard skills and safe working practices
*Embed current regulations, legislation and sustainability principles into delivery
*Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback
*Maintain high standards of health & safety and safeguarding
*Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
Requirements*Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing
*Gas competency
*Industry experience within Plumbing & Heating Engineering
*Assessor and IQA qualifications desirable, or willingness to work towards them
*Strong knowledge of current industry standards and regulations
*Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting others
*Teaching qualification desirable but not essential, with support available to achieve one
