Full job descriptionSharp Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a well-established engineering and infrastructure-related business in Doncaster as they look to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen their finance function.


This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional looking to join a growing organisation where they can make a genuine impact. Working closely with both finance and operational teams, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and providing meaningful insight to aid decision-making.


The business operates within a project-led environment and has built a strong reputation within its sector, offering stability, development opportunities, and exposure to a varied and interesting workload.


The Role
*Reporting into senior finance leadership, your responsibilities will include:
*Production of monthly management accounts
*Preparing accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
*Delivering variance analysis and commentary on business performance
*Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
*Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting requirements
*Business partnering with operational and project stakeholders
*Producing KPI reports and commercial analysis
*Supporting cash flow reporting and financial controls
*Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting
*Providing financial insight to support strategic business decisions
About You
*We are keen to hear from candidates who possess:
*Previous experience producing management accounts
*Strong month-end accounting experience
*Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
*Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
*The ability to build effective relationships across the business
*A proactive approach and a desire to add value beyond the numbers

*ACA qualified accountants looking for their first move from practice into industry (including exposure to audit, statutory accounts, and client-facing responsibilities)
*ACCA or CIMA part-qualified or qualified accountants
*AAT qualified candidates with strong relevant experience
*Qualified by experience (QBE) Management Accountants
