Full job descriptionRoleExperienced Residential Property Legal Assistant required to join a busy Private Property Department at a well-established regional law firm. The role is based in the Shrewsbury office and involves providing direct support to a Property Solicitor managing a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
Responsibilities*Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to a Property Solicitor
*Assist with the management of residential conveyancing files from initial instruction to post-completion
*Prepare, review, and process legal documentation accurately and within required timeframes
*Liaise directly with clients via telephone, email, and in-person meetings, delivering a high standard of service
*Communicate with third parties including lenders, estate agents, and other solicitors
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on case management systems and file notes
*Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
*Manage deadlines effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
*Support general office and departmental administrative tasks as required
Candidate Requirements*Proven experience in residential conveyancing (essential)
*Previous experience in a legal assistant or conveyancing support role
*Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
*Confident communicator with the ability to handle client-facing interactions professionally
*Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy caseload with strict deadlines
*Proficient in MS365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
*Experience with legal case management systems desirable but not essential
*Strong team player with a proactive and adaptable approach
*Commitment to delivering high levels of client service
