Job Description:
Full job descriptionMorson are working with a leading defence manufacturer who are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in Assembly and Integration to eork out of the site near Bolton.
Responsibilities:
*As a Manufacturing Engineer within the unit and missile assembly manufacturing facility, you will ensure our products are manufactured efficiently and within budget.
*Play a vital role as a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, supporting multi-project manufacturing activities.
*Compile and update Manufacturing Instructions accurately.
*Design, commission, and validate associated tooling.
*Support the industrial validation process through the application of FMEAs, FAIs, and related methodologies.
*Resolve technical issues arising during the manufacturing process promptly.
*Implement route card changes resulting from rework activities.
*Manage Configuration Control by incorporating Design Modifications into Manufacturing Instructions.
*Provide support for the Non-Conformance Process using SAP.
Required Skills and Experience:
*A minimum of five years’ experience within an engineering discipline.
*Proven ability to interpret Design Drawings to produce clear Manufacturing Build Instructions for both skilled and semi-skilled operators.
*Experience in electronic sub-assembly manufacture through to system-level builds.
*Knowledge of assembly processes for small and miniature electro-mechanical actuation systems.
*Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
*Strong understanding of customer requirements with a commitment to meet and exceed expectations.
*Familiarity with and adherence to company processes and procedures.
*Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively across all organisational levels.
Education:
*• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
AND
*Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 4 academic qualification (HNC, diploma, etc.)
AND
* Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) *Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved
OR
*Degree in a relevant Engineering subject.
