An established and growing engineering business is looking to recruit a Mechanical Bias Service Engineer to join their team based in the HD6 area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer seeking a varied role with regular customer interaction, technical problem-solving, and a great work-life balance thanks to an early finish every Friday.
The RoleAs a Mechanical Bias Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a range of specialist mechanical equipment. Working both on-site and at customer locations, you will ensure machinery operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities*Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repair work on mechanical equipment.
*Diagnose and fault-find mechanical issues.
*Install and commission machinery at customer sites.
*Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
*Provide technical support and advice to customers.
*Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.
The CandidateTo be considered for this position, you should have:
*A strong mechanical engineering background.
*Previous experience in a service, maintenance, or field engineering role.
*Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
*The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
*Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
*A full UK driving licence.
Applicants must live within one hour of the HD6 area.
