Community-Based Role
Full-time | Temporary/Locum
We are currently recruiting two experienced Occupational Therapists to join a busy and dynamic Community Occupational Therapy and Moving & Handling Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a large, supportive multidisciplinary team delivering impactful work within Adult Social Care.
The Role
In this role, you will manage a varied caseload and contribute to a fast-paced service, supporting individuals to live safely and independently within the community.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage your own caseload within an Adult Social Care setting
*Participate in duty work as part of the wider team
*Deliver specialist assessments and interventions, including equipment provision and housing adaptations
*Complete moving and handling assessments and provide appropriate recommendations
*Work collaboratively with colleagues, service users, and carers to deliver person-centred outcomes
Requirements
*Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
*Proven experience in Community Occupational Therapy
*Strong knowledge of equipment provision and housing adaptations
*Confident in moving and handling assessments and best practice
*Good understanding of the Care Act and its application within Adult Social Care
*Experience supporting adults with physical disabilities and frailty
*Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
