Description
Duties and tasks of the Management Accountant:
*Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans
*Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts
*Act as a finance business partner to operational teams, providing financial guidance and challenge
*Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis and create detailed forecasts
*Present and prepare financial results and insights to non-financial stakeholders
*Assist in the preparation of annual financial plans and quarterly re forecasts
*Support the development of cost models to improve profitability analysis
*Develop financial models and cost saving initiatives
*Collaborate with various departments to enhance financial understanding and accountability


Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
*A strong background in accounting or finance, ideally within a relatively large and complex organisation
*Proficiency in analysis and creating complex reports
*The ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
*Excellent communication skills to collaborate with different departments effectively.
*A relevant professional qualification, such as ACCA, or CIMA (part or fully qualified)
*Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
