Full-Time School-Based OpportunityTradewind Recruitment is working with a high-achieving secondary school in Kensington and Chelsea to recruit an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant for a full-time position commencing in September 2026.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for a graduate seeking valuable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training or a long-term career in education. The successful candidate will work closely with students and teachers, with a particular focus on supporting learning within Religious Education and humanities subjects.
The school is particularly keen to hear from graduates who hold a degree in Religious Education, Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, Ethics, or a closely related discipline. Your subject knowledge will be used to support students at Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to raise attainment, improve confidence, and promote engagement across the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities*Support students in lessons across a range of curriculum areas, with a particular emphasis on Religious Education and humanities

*Deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions

*Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and resource creation

*Support students of varying abilities to access learning and achieve their academic targets

*Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and participation in lessons

*Assist with revision sessions and examination preparation

*Provide feedback on student progress and contribute to tracking attainment where required

*Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support student success

Candidate RequirementsEssential*Degree in Religious Education, Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, Ethics, or a related subject

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

*Passion for education and supporting young people to achieve their potential

*Full-time availability from September 2026 to July 2027

*Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Desirable*Previous experience working with young people in a school, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or youth setting

*An interest in teacher training or a future career in education

*Strong subject knowledge within Religious Education or humanities
